COVID-19 Change to visiting patients and hospital access at GCUH

To slow the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and to protect the most vulnerable, restrictions apply when visiting hospitals. Find out more about visiting a patient in hospital.

Access to Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) has been restricted to ensure hand hygiene and fever screening is well managed.

Please access the Gold Coast University Hospital via:

  • Level 1 link bridge from carpark
  • Ground Floor main entrance
  • Emergency Department
  • Transit Lounge

Visiting hours

Our visiting hours are generally between 10am and 8pm but may vary between wards and units. Please phone 1300 744 284  to inquire about visiting hours before you arrive.

Advice for visitors:

  • Be sensitive to the patient’s needs, and other patients and staff while visiting
  • For infection control, wash your hands before entering a ward or unit and when leaving.
  • If you have a cold or infection, please do not visit until you’re better.
