Ethics approval for research projects

To ensure the project is ethically appropriate, you must submit an ethics application.

Two pathways exist for ethical review:

How do you submit a research project for low risk review?

1. Complete your research protocol

Before you submit an ethics application, you are required to complete your research protocol to plan your research project.

3. Complete other required and supporting documents

You should then complete other required and supporting documents and attach to the Ethical Review Manager application.

Submit application through Ethical Review Manager. A subcommittee of the Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) reviews low risk applications out of session.

Please note: Ethics administration fees apply (PDF, 37 KB) to commercially-sponsored research projects.
